Many fire departments across Ohio support State Fire School with both personnel and equipment. Five regional fire departments are represented on the Advisory Board. Collaborative efforts to provide apparatus are coordinated with area fire departments including Bowling Green, Maumee, Troy, Perrysburg, Rossford, Toledo and the State Fire Academy – Reynoldsburg.

Corporate support also helps underwrite State Fire School classes and other activities. These partners include:

• Nationwide Insurance provides scholarships for firefighters and emergency personnel to attend State Fire School.
  
  
  
  
  
• The Ford Motor Company provides 10 – 20 new cars each year for use during the Advanced Auto Extrication and Heavy Rescue classes.
  
  
  
  
  
• Holmatro Tools and Hurst Tools provided “Jaws of Life” and other rescue tools as well as assisting the instructors with teaching the extrication classes.
• Paratech and Airshore/Hurst provided tools and equipment for Structural Collapse, Trench Rescue and Elevator Rescue classes.

• Sutphen Corporation sponsors evening events for the participants at SFS.

• Ohio Department of Transportation provides equipment and an operator for auto extrication class.
