Ronald Fletcher

 

Ron Fletcher started in the fire service in 1986 and has served at all ranks in both volunteer and career fire departments. He is currently the assistant fire chief for the City of Englewood Fire Department in Montgomery County, supervising training, technical rescue services, and field operations. Chief Fletcher is a graduate of the Ohio Fire Executives Program; Class 1.

Chief Fletcher became a certified fire instructor in 1993 and is currently the lead instructor of the Advanced Auto Extrication course at State Fire School. He has instructed the course for several years, and has attended Fire School as a student for many years as well. Chief Fletcher also instructs fire and rescue topics for Sinclair Community College, Miami Valley Career Technology Center, and the Greene County Career Center.

Chief Fletcher was an original member of Ohio's FEMA USAR Task Force and is a current Advance Team member of the Ohio Region 3 Rescue Task Force. He also coordinates Montgomery County's North Rescue Response Zone – an all-hazards rescue response group serving several communities.
