Learn accounting concepts and procedures and their contribution to administrative processes. Students will also learn about enterprise analysis, relevant data, and its uses and limitations.

Communication

3 credit hours

Learn principles of effective communication in writing business messages such as letters, memos, e-mail, and reports. Primary emphasis on written communication skills for use in business and public organizations. Special attention will be given to oral communication skills in business, such as small group and one-on-one communication.

Introduction to Management Information Systems

Learn principles of computer-based information systems, including the role of information systems in business organizations. Students will also learn about the use of database software to manage information and spreadsheet software in decision making.

A discussion of laws focusing on the prohibition of discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, handicap, and veteran status. Students will also focus on wage and salary discrimination using equal pay and comparable worth analysis.
