Description
This class will discuss some of the duties Hazmat Technicians may be asked to perform during a hazardous materials response. We will cover gas testing, computer modeling, diking, damming and booming operations, decontamination and LEPC/EMA involvement. Local experts will address how to react to hazardous materials other than hydrocarbons. There will also be a display day to view equipment available to handle hazmat incidents. This class will have involvement from the federal EPA, Ohio EPA and several hazmat response companies and local industries. Special Requirements
Preferred Hazmat Technician level trained.
