Public Safety Diver

 

Description
If you have basic dive skills, this class will give you the necessary skills to become a proficient S & R specialist for your dive rescue team. Topics covered include: search patterns, rapid deployment, salvage, scuba rescue, evidence and victim recovery/handling, witness interviews and how to develop a search/recovery/rescue team. You can earn either Rescue Diver certification or Search and Rescue certification upon satisfactory completion of this class.

Special Requirements
You must have a Basic Scuba "C" card. You are required to bring all personal dive gear including a wet, or preferably, a dry suit. You must bring a copy of a statement from your physician that you are fit to dive.
