Description Three advanced firefighting classes are combined into one intensive hands-on class. 1: Crash Fire Rescue (CFR) - You will gain a working knowledge of military and civilian aircraft crash and emergency procedures and participate in hands-on training with flammable fuel fires using foam techniques. 2: Marine Firefighting - You will apply your existing skills to a shipboard environment where you will extinguish live fires under adverse conditions. This hands-on training, which demands a high degree of physical effort, utilizes a ship simulator, pit and open top tanks. Learn to work as a team in hose handling with SCBA. The techniques and tactics are used in Coast Guard training for merchant seamen. 3: Railroad Emergencies - You will learn how to handle railroad accidents from Amtrak and CSX experts and receive training in the proper rescue techniques specific to these types of emergencies. Special Requirements All students must supply a fit for duty form with chief's signature. The minimum requirement is proof of completion of either the 36-Hour Basic Course or the Industrial Fire Brigade Course. Submit a copy of the training card with your registration. Participants should have at least two years' experience. Positive pressure SCBA and complete turn-out gear are required. Beards and rubber coats are not permitted.
