Description
This class is for new company officers or any firefighter aspiring to ride in the right-front seat. Students will examine and discuss fire ground factors and priorities and how those factors translate into actions. Emergency scene size-up, utilizing numerous fire ground simulations, will prepare students to use strategic decision making and risk-benefit analysis in deploying fire units. Fire fighting tactics including hose line selection and required rate of flow will also be examined.
