Live Fire Training - Know the Rules

Description
Firefighter deaths and injuries that have occurred during live-fire training in recent years have resulted in legal proceedings. If you are responsible for the accumulation and preparation of structures for your departments' live fire training, then this is the class for you. The purpose and intent of this course is to provide you with advanced understanding of the requirements of NFPA 1403 Standard on Live Fire Training Evolutions. You will learn how to prep and fully utilize a structure for a live fire burn. The first three days of this four and ? day class will focus on the standards and preparation of a real structure for conducting NFPA-compliant live fire training evolutions. On Thursday, May 10th, students will actually conduct and perform a live burn in the structure, based on the plans from the previous day
