Description For any police, fire, EMS, or other public safety personnel, child protection workers, probation officers, prosecuting attorneys, or individuals who may be in a position to inadvertently discover a clandestine drug laboratory or deal with the legal ramifications of methamphetamine production. With more than 250 power point slides and imbedded videos this four-hour course is designed to give you a comprehensive but basic understanding of methamphetamine, You will learn about the physiological effects of the drug, drug endangered children, the primary methods of manufacture encountered in Ohio, the four-step process of manufacture, the ability to identify pre-cursor chemicals, improvised chemicals, and items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine and the chemical, toxicological, and physical hazards associated with methamphetamine labs. You will examine the roles of first responders and citizens when encountering clandestine drug labs and the responsibilities and actions of certified clandestine drug lab response team members, and receive an overview of the clandestine drug laboratory unit.
