Description For fire safety inspectors who desire to have a greater understanding of the Ohio Fire Code and explore the interplay between the new Ohio Fire Code and the Ohio Building Code.
In this class you are encouraged to present code problems specific to your jurisdiction for discussion. The class will focus on proper application of the Ohio Fire Code for new and existing conditions, review new code requirements for flammable and combustible liquids and hazardous materials, discuss legal issues, ethics, and witness preparation, examine fire officials' involvement in the construction process, and review code enforcement actions with proper documentation and creation of violation notices and citations. Special Requirements Students must be certified fire safety inspectors. Required Textbook You must purchase and bring the most recent versions of the Ohio Fire and Building Code books..
